Isla de Koh Tao

Koh Tao - Thailand

What can be seen in the video?

In this video you can see some of the most spectacular places in Koh Tao Island in the Gulf of Thailand. It is an island to relax where you can either spend 2-3 nights or a whole week as I did.

The video starts (in black and white) with the free access to Shark Bay, from where you can swim to see blacktip reef sharks (unfortunately, I didn’t see them).

The climb to John-Suwan Viewpoint is a must-do. The entrance fee (100 Baht) gives you access to the actual viewpoint, two beaches (Taa Toh Lagoon and Freedom Beach), a bottle of water, sunbeds and a kayak for one hour.

In the east-side of the island, the accesses to the beaches are a bit trickier but they are totally worth the risk. Tanote Bay, where you can do rock jumping from the biggest rock or simply relax because it is not very crowded. And also the tiny beach of Hin Wong Bay - make sure you drink something and talk to the waitress at the beach bar.

The four little boats that you can see from above in the video are shot at Chalok Baan Kao Bay, the second longest beach on the island.

Finally, the sunsets in Koh Tao are just from another world. I saw it from Taa Toh Lagoon, where you can also enjoy a beautiful view of the Buddha Rock.

My recommendation: hire a scooter and visit the island at your own pace. Just be careful with some steep roads and with potential scams.

Where is it?
